Celebrating Repeal Day
Today, we’re raising a glass in celebration of a toast-worthy day in history: Repeal Day, ending 13 years of Prohibition, on Dec. 5, 1933. We’re a “spirited” bunch here at Harvest, so here are just a few of our favorite adult beverages to celebrate (responsibly, of course) this holiday season.
- You wouldn’t find these cocktails in speakeasies. The Bartender’s Guide to Pear Cocktails, developed with client USA Pears, offers 12 unique and inspiring pear concoctions, complete with pear garnishes. We enjoy the Millionaire Pear, Pearhattan, Pear Ole’ and Pear Je T’aime.

- Winemaking was a grey area during Prohibition, but wines produced by local client Saint Croix Vineyards are the real deal. Saint Croix Vineyards is an award-winning Minnesota winery offering a range of winemaking styles, including a dry Chardonnay, a semi-sweet Vignoles and a number of dessert wines. We like to curl up next to the fire with a glass of the coveted red wine, Marquette, but also enjoy its cold-hardy companions Frontenac, Frontenac Gris and La Crescent.
- Nothing says celebration more than bubbles! The National Watermelon Promotion Board’s Watermelon Champagne Sangria is perfect for those special occasions, or try the Watermelon Wine Spritzer for a less informal evening, and the Watermelon Cosmicpolitan will delight your guests with its lively color.
