Bridgetown Natural Foods Delivers on Food Safety, Adding Safe Quality Food (SQF) Certification
SQF certification boosts the credibility and market appeal of Bridgetown Natural Foods as a trusted partner for all-natural, organic and gluten-free brands
PORTLAND, OR – June 4, 2012 – Bridgetown Natural Foods, a Portland, Ore.-based contract manufacturing partner, specializing in all-natural, organic and gluten-free food products, recently attained its Safe Quality Food (SQF) 2000 Level 2 certification, demonstrating the company’s commitment to food safety. The SQF certification is in addition to the company’s existing gluten-free, kosher and organic certifications.

Evaluated and approved by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GSFI), the SQF 2000 certification is a third party stamp of approval sought by many leading retailers as a pre-requisite for carrying products in their stores. Bridgetown is one of just five snack food companies in Oregon to receive SQF 2000 certification.

Klock points out that achieving SQF certification on top of existing organic, kosher and gluten-free certifications, puts Bridgetown’s 100,000-square-foot facility in a class all its own. The company achieved Gluten-Free Certification by GFCO in April, and is one of just ten Gluten-Free Certified manufacturing service facilities in the United States.
